Couldn't help myself.... The Royal Wedding!

I have to say I never thought I'd be so into this Royal Wedding stuff until I woke up in the middle of the night (one of the million times..but I don't mind - all for you baby Landon) and I turned the TV on. Earlier this week I had decided to DVR it, and I woke up just as the ceremony was about to start! Love prince and princess stuff - feels like a Fairy Tale.

Beautiful!

Prince William was pretty cute during the ceremony. I know they felt like they had to watch their every move to get it all 'right', but their little smiles and looks at each other were so cute!

Great view of the two of them, Kate's amazing dress, Prince Harry (who seems like a really fun guy) and Pippa! Cute name right?! She looked beautiful too.

So happy!

The kiss on the balcony - apparently they're the first to share two kisses up there instead of just one. Pretty cute. I watched it again..and you can even see Prince William ask her, "One more kiss..come on just one more." Try to see it in the video below. Precious! The crowd went crazy!

We are so blessed!

The weekend of Ryan's birthday we also had our first baby shower! It was the most adorable shower with so many special ideas and details. It was at my parent's house and hosted by my sister, Anna, Melissa and MIL Kathy. It was such a wonderful day to be able to celebrate and share our excitement with family and friends who are family. Definitely overwhelmed with all of the love and support from everyone.

These ladies mean the world to me - they did so much for the shower. They really know how to throw a party!

Heather I borrowed these pictures from you! Hope you don't mind! :)

Decorations my sister Jenna and Anna

Yummy 'Sweet Spot Station' - compliments of Chef Heather :)

Cute 'baby bath' punch by Jenna - the whales were so cute with the theme!

Here's me and my little man! Melissa made this ADORABLE diaper wreath.

Mel made this diaper cake too. My friends are such crafty/creative people!

"Letters to Landon" that Anna made... such sweet letters to Landon and Ryan & I.

Mommy-to-be, GiGi-to-be, and Daddy-to-be!

Don't they look too young to be grandma's?!?! Nonna and GiGi :) so happy

Pee-Pee Tee-Pees - yes they do exist! Apparently helps with diaper changing boys...you can use your imagination.

Cute golfer outfit with a matching hat! Ryan LOVED this... Landon will be a mini Ryan.

Super cool alphabet framed with Landon's name in red letters. Looks super cute in his nursery! (pics/post on that to come!)

Completely forgot my mom had done this! I started crying... it was her wedding dress made into a christening blanket. She didn't want to make a baptismal gown because she figured little baby boy wouldn't want to wear it. So the blanket will be perfect to hold him in on that special day. I do have to share and pass it on...such a special family heirloom we have!

She's pulling it out to show me more of it.

Precious little bonnets to match. What a great use of a wedding dress!

Blown away by the love and generosity from everyone! Landon is already so loved!

Bestie since 3rd grade... love her!

Another extremely special surprise was my cousin Holly coming in town from Florida to be at the shower! She helped out so much before and during the shower...having her there was such a gift!

The 'Gautille Girls' - Nonna and Auntie Jenn!

Thank you everyone who helped with the shower, sent a gift and came to celebrate little Landon! Ryan and I are so thankful for all of the love and support from our family and friends as we get ready to enter parenthood! We are SO ready to meet Landon!!

More updates to come! We'll keep you posted!

Hubby's 25th Birthday weekend!

It's been a while and so much has happened! I'm actually 35 weeks today (yay!) and believe me the countdown has started. We are SO ready to meet Landon.

Last weekend was Ryan's 25th birthday along with his Grandmother's 81st (they're just a day apart...) and we had our first baby shower! Our families were wanting to get a baby shower together and when we were planning we figured the weekend of Ryan/Grammie's birthday would be perfect because both families could celebrate both occasions! It did turn out perfect...

Here's the 'birthday cake' I made for Ryan at our house.

Ryan doesn't really like cake - and LOVES brownies. But since we do brownies every year for his birthday...I decided to surprise him with another one of his favorites. Oreo Pie! It's in the baking aisle at the store and it's Jello brand. No baking in the oven, just mixing and freezing/refrigerating. SO YUMMY! He loved it! and I loved helping him eat it! :)

Make a wish...

Below are pictures of us at Ryan's Aunt and Uncle's house. His family all met over there Friday night to celebrate the birthdays! We had so much fun with everyone!

The BEST Mother-in-Law, Ryan, Grammie, and Me (& little Landon)

Ryan with his gift - too bad I got it with his eyes closed. We were all laughing so hard. The apron says "Daddy's on Duty". His mom got this for him...it has everything he would need to be on duty with Landon. He's a pretty good lookin' daddy if I do say so myself. ;)

Happy Birthday sweet Hubby! Love you!

Patience...

Lately I feel like I've been waiting. Praying and waiting for answers.

Sometimes it can be frustrating, sometimes it can be annoying, sometimes it can be scary not knowing what's to come... but then I'm reminded it's God's way of slowly revealing His perfect plan for me/us and how He wants me to continue to turn back to Him in prayer. Patience seems to be the common thread through all of this...

I have been patiently waiting for:
*Easter
*Baby Landon
*Job things for Hubby
*Baby Landon - did I already say that?
*Peace about how life is going to drastically change (for the wonderful/better) in about a month
*Summertime
*Answers to 'things' God has put on my heart
*School year to end... cause that means Landon is here :)
*Answers to many other prayers and questions... the list could go on and on

I love this movie clip from Evan Almighty. It reminds me that just because I pray for something...God just doesn't give it to me - He gives me the opportunity.
I have to put my trust in Him!

Hope you like the clip!

Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Bakerella Wanna Be...

I am a TOTAL Bakerella-Wanna-Be!

I absolutely love to bake! I do love cooking, but definitely love baking MUCH MUCH more! It's an escape for me and I love learning how to make new things. I've been wanting to learn how to make those cute cake pops for some time now, and finally did some research on how to make them. Bakerella is FANTASTIC! I think she actually was the creator of Cake Pops. Genius!

Did you notice Starbucks now has them?!?!

Tiramisu, Rocky Road, and Birthday Cake Pop! Adorable!!!

Well... I decided to try something new I saw in a Food Network Magazine. Cheesecake Bites is what they called them. So similar to cake pops, however it's cheesecake squares dipped into chocolate and decorated with sprinkles or whatever other fun goodies you want. Here's my attempt at making them...

So here's the cheesecake squares (rectangles really...) on the Lollipop Sticks. You can find those sticks in the "Wilton" baking aisle at any craft store. I melted chocolate chips in a Pyrex measuring cup...that handle made it easier to get out of the microwave without burning myself. :)

Another tip with the cheesecake squares - I cut the cheesecake, put them on sticks and then put them in the freezer while I was prepping everything else. It stuck to the stick much better and didn't fall apart as easily as the ones I did not freeze at first.

Next, it was figuring out how to let it dry without finger marks or some smooshed side. Here's what I came up with...

Just a colander! Flip it upside down....and ta da!

So in my attempt to make them cute I got some colorful sprinkles!!! As you can see the ones in the middle did not turn out so well...and the outside did. So I should've known - gotta sprinkle while the chocolate is fresh and HOT! They stay better of course.

More sprinkled ones and then plain ones inside my cake pan. Made it easy for freezing and traveling. I took these to LifeTeen (high school youth group) at our church. I was trying to make friends ;)

Yum-O!

I think they turned out pretty cute, and they were SUPER YUMMY!

Just wanted to share my baking adventure!!! Have a great rest of your week!

You know you're pregnant when...

  • A man in the elevator with you asks how soon you're due...cause he says he doesn't know the first thing about how to bring a baby into the world & doesn't wanna help you
  • People ask, "how much longer you got?"
  • You forget to step back far enough so the car door doesn't smack your stomach
  • The bus driver on your class's Field Trip asks if you're sure he won't have to make a detour to the hospital
  • Every woman who has ever had a child will stop to ask how you're doing and then tell you their beautiful or terrifying stories (even the waitress at Chilis)
  • You have a hard time getting into booths or sitting down at restaurants cause your belly hits the table
  • Any commercial on TV either makes your emotional or hungry
  • Your belly becomes a new shelf for your cell phone or TV remote
  • You have to sticky note everything and have a detailed running to do list so you can keep yourself on track and don't forget anything
  • You want ice cream every night
  • Everyone asks if they can touch your stomach and if the baby is moving right then
  • People tease you about your 'outie' belly button and then they tell you it's cute (yeah right!)
  • You countdown everyday until you hit your new 'week' because it feels like a mini milestone!
  • You haven't had your baby yet, but you are already so in love and head over heels for your little angel...

Can't wait to meet you Landon!
