7 wks!

If we are facebook friends... you've probably seen this.

I have been wanting to recreate this picture since Keegan was born. Couldn't wait until 7 weeks hit just to see the comparison! It is fun to compare the looks of the boys... but I want to be careful as they get older. Don't really want that sibling comparing game to start. (Looks, grades, accomplishments etc) I'm sure that happens naturally, but Ry and I don't need to add to it.

ANYWAY - for now as babies..it's fun to put them side by side.

They really don't look a whole lot alike. At birth I thought they did, but as I spent more time with Keegan I thought he looked nothing like Landon. He looked like Keegan. :) I purposely put them in the same outfit and bouncer...tried the same position and this is the picture I got.

I definitely see the same little nose. Both have great cheeks, but the rest is very different! Keegan's eyes are looking more blue than Landon's...we'll see if they stick around or change. His complexion is more like Ryan's and Landon's is more like mine. Their eye shapes are even totally different. Little chins and eyebrows are similar. Keegan had a lot less hair than Landon but he did have some at birth.

Both boys were smiling by week one - I love that. They both are growing like weeds and going up in diaper and clothes size very quickly! Thankful they're healthy.

When people ask who does Keegan look like...we definitely say Ryan. Sometimes I wanna say..."Keegan looks like Keegan." Cause he does! He's an individual. :) Just like Landon looks like Landon. I cannot wait to see Keegan's personality and watch him grow. All the firsts again is so exciting!!!

One month!

Keegan Joseph-

Not quite sure how a whole month has already passed, but it has! You are looking more and more like your handsome daddy every day. We were so excited to get you to smile while taking this pic! You were smiling by week one - I think you like it here. ;)

You're growing big and strong. In 3 month clothes by week three and size 1 diapers in the hospital! Daddy and I estimate you're close to 12 lbs now! Goodness! Awesome arm work out for me. ;)

You're already coo-ing a little and reacting to our faces which is THE BEST thing in the entire world! Your big brother loves you and is trying to find the best way to show it. Right now he likes to shake your hands or tickle your feet and kiss your head. When you cry he says "Hug! Hug!" and wants to pick you up. So sweet.

You love your mama roo and bouncer/rocker and LOVE to be swaddled. You don't love binkies as much as your brother did...but that's about it. You're SO content and easy going. It's wonderful. You make me feel like I'm doing a good job. ;)

Love ya pumpkin,
Mommy

The most important person… on earth is a Mother.
She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral.
 She need not.
She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral –
A dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body.
The angels have not been blessed with such a grace.
They cannot share in God’s creative miracle to bring new souls to heaven.
 Only a human mother can.
Mothers are closer to God the creator than any other creature.
God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation…
What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?

I'll have more pictures to post next update! Cannot wait to share newborn pictures!

Brothers

Can't find time to blog like I used to... Imagine that! ;)

Here are pics of the brothers together!

First day home! Comin to check out little brother...

Kisses xoxo

Trying out brother's toys... he loved it! haha

Oh - be still my heart!

Kisses on his head.

Mama roo at breakfast!

Matchy matchy (kinda). Tried to see if he'd kiss him, but he wanted to shake his hand.

"Peace baby..peace baby."
Wants to shake his hand and give peace like we do at mass.

There is SO much I want to write...but I have more important things to take care of like these two sweet boys! Landon is trying to love Keegan the best way his little two year old heart knows how to. His world has been rocked a bit and turned upside down, but he's adjusting better than expected. I guess I hoped for the best and prepared for the worst.

Keegan - you are an angel. Love seeing the world through your little eyes and watch you already grow and change. You are definitely a solid chunk and I love it. Sleeping like a champ. Right now it's about 9:30 or 10pm - 2:30 or 3am and then another 3 hours until around 5:30 or 6!!! God bless you baby boy! (Now if we could just get big brother to sleep well again.. hehe ;) ) Starting to coo already and it's so sweet!!! I've even caught a tiny giggle from you in your sleep followed by a smile. I know you're dreaming of angels. So excited to watch all of your firsts this year and see you and your big brother become friends. Love you sweet boy - Mom
